Canada

Canada is a country in North America. It stretches from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. Canada also reaches north to the cold Artic Ocean. No wonder Canada's motto is "from the sea to sea"! Canada is next to America on the other side of the border. Canada is second largest country in the world. Canada's population is over 33 million people. Canadians have many cultures. Most Canadians speak English or French. A fun fact is that July first is Canada day when Canada was founded.

Climate/weather

Most of Canada has four seasons they are spring, summer, fall and winter. The climate is different in some parts of the country however some parts are hotter, colder, wetter or drier than others are. Snow falls for five to six months. It all depends on where you live. Where would you like to live in Canada?

Canadians make maple syrup. Clam chowder and salmon is popular. They also eat meat pie called Tourtiere. Also Fiddlehead ferns, Moose dishes and syrup on snow as treat.A dish with french fries covered with gravy and cheese curds is a famous dish in Canada. What food do you think you would like?
