1. Always walk

Being in a science lab can be very exciting but it's important to remember to always walk!

Running is not allowed and can cause injuries.

Always Wear Lab Clothing

You must always wear the appropriate lab attire including the lab coat, goggles, gloves, and close toe shoes. Also, tie your hair back and make sure there's no loose jewelry on. The lab attire helps keep your skin and hair safe from all the science materials.

Working with Chemicals

Always follow your teacher's instructions before handling chemicals. Chemicals can be very dangerous so make sure you have your listening ears on!

Handling Equipment

There is a lot of equipment in science labs so make sure you are paying attention to the teacher before working with them. Do not touch anything until the teacher has said so.

Broken Glass

A lot of the equipment used in science labs are glass which can easily break if you are not paying attention. Be careful with what you are doing. If glass breaks, do not touch it or try to clean it up. Step away from it and go tell the teacher immediately.
