Hazel loves ballet class.

She has been going practically her WHOLE life. She knows everyone there and everything was just perfect. Until...

Hazel received a birthday invite.

Paige said that she was inviting EVERYONE from her class at school and all the girls from ballet. She said her party was going to be SO much fun!

But Hazel didn't feel excited and she didn't quite know why.

The night before the party, Hazel laid in bed and couldn't fall asleep. She thought about all of the children that would be at the party that she didn't know. 

What if they didn't want to play with her?! What if she had no one to play with at the party! Oh no!

The next day when Hazel arrived at the party, only two girls from ballet were there and they were already in the bouncy castle. She didn't know anyone else.

Hazel couldn't see Paige ANYWHERE. What was she going to do?!

This was the Worst. Day. Ever!

Hazel's mom told her to go play and left to go talk to the other moms.

She got butterflies in her tummy and felt her feet lock in place.

Hazel sat and watched the other kids playing and having fun.

Some kids were playing tag. Others were in the bouncy castle having, what looked like, the time of their lives.

She wished she could join in too. She just didn't quite know how to do that.

More time passed and Hazel was still watching all of the kids having fun.
