This is a Social story about crossing the street with no lights or cross walk. I made this social story for the boy that I care for. We have been working on crossing the street to get to the park. I used the term "the boy" because he understands this term better.
By sarah woolley

When the boy is walking to park he knows he needs to Stop at every cross walk and corner. The roads can be busy with cars.

When the boy gets to the corner he STOPS completely!
The boy first turns his head to the left and looks down the street to see if cars are coming.

Then the boy looks the other way down the street (right). He looks to see if cars are driving towards him.

If a car is coming down the road he does not walk across the street! He waits!

The boy waits until the car has driven away and then looks down the road one more time.

The boy looks down the street to the left for cars.

Then the boy looks right down the road to make sure no cars are driving his way.
