My name is Jill and I love going to school, but not exactly for the same reason that my friends like to go. I get to EAT! Not just scraps and pieces, but a full, warm meal. My friends complain about the school lunches being gross, but I disagree. They are so much better than nothing.

I often worry about food and where I'll get my next meal. I try really hard to focus on school work, but all I can really think about it how I can help feed my family.

I love when it's time to go back to the food bank. Everyone is really nice and helps us find everything we need. Dad tries to ration what we're able to take until the next time we can come back, but I understand that it's hard to feed four kids on one paycheck.

I see my dad working really hard, but I can tell that he's really tired. It makes me sad when dad is sad. I think about my dad a lot at school. I want my dad and siblings to be happy.
