BATTERY
Battery Definiton: "a container consisting of one or more cells, in which chemical energy is converted into electricity and used as a source of power."
Batteries transmit an electric current to different objects and gives them energy to complete different tasks. An example would be using batteries to power a remote control.
Complete Circuit Definition: A complete circuit is a complete loop with electricity flowing the way it's supposed to flow: from the battery, to the component, and back to the battery again.
In a complete circuit, energy can be transmitted infinitely as long as the components are connected. This can be compared to a clock. As long as time continues, the hands keep moving.
COMPLETE CIRCUIT

CONDUCTORS OF ELECTRICITY
Conductors of Electricity Definition: "An electrical conductor is a substance in which electrical charge carriers, usually electrons, move easily from atom to atom with the application of voltage."

Metal is a good conductor of electricity because they can move freely.
ELECTRICAL CHARGE
Electrical Charge Definition: "one of the basic properties of the elementary particles of matter giving rise to all electric and magnetic forces and interactions."
Electric charge consists of both positive and negative.

Electrical Circuit Definition: "a path or line through which an electrical current flows"
An electrical circuit can be compared to roads. The path create allows movement from one place to another.
ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT

Electrical Current Definition: "any movement of electric charge carriers such as electrons, protons, ions, or holes."
Turning on a light when flipping a switch is caused by an electrical current.
ELECTRICAL CURRENT

Electrical Insulators Definition: "Electrical insulators are materials with a high resistivity (resistivity is a property of the material) so they can make objects with a high resistance."
ELECTRICAL INSULTATORS

Rubber can be used as an insulator because it slows down electrons.
Incomplete Circuit Definiton: "a circuit where the path has been interrupted or "opened" at some point so that current will not flow. Also known as an open circuit."
Disconnecting an object from any type of power source creates an incomplete circuit and can save energy.
