Battery:
A battery is a device that stores energy and converts the energy into an electrical form.
A battery is often found in common household items such as remotes, flashlights, and video game controllers!

Complete Circuit:
Energy flows in circle and often flows from the battery to the object that is using the energy. This creates a circle, or complete circuit of electricity that attaches the battery to the component, completing the loop.

When you think of "circuit," think "circle!"
Conductors of Electricity:
Have you ever wondered how your home, light, and electronics are powered? Well, without conductors, electricity could not power these! Conductors of Electricity allow for electricity to flow easily back and forth.

Electrical Charge:
There are two types of electrical charge, positive and negative. Think about magnets and how the opposites attract. This is the same for electrical charge.

Electrical Circuit:
The path in which electrons of a current or voltage source flow is an electrical circuit.
This circuit can be small or complex, but the electrical circuit is continuous and complete.

Electrical Current:
An electric current is the rate of flow of electric charge past a point or region.

When you think of an electrical current, think of a water current in a river. They both flow!

Electrical Insulator:
An electrical insulator does not allow for electricity to flow freely. Electric current cannot flow through it, unlike it can with conductors. Think of an insulator as a road block for energy.

Incomplete Circuits:
An incomplete circuit is a circuit that does not connect. Think of circle that does not connect. The electrical path has been disrupted and cannot connect, so the electric current will not flow.

Insulator:
An insulator does not allow for electricity, heat, or sound to pass through. Think about sound proof rooms and the insulators that cause sound to not be carried through! Insulation is also used in buildings to keep heat in and cold out.
