Elizabeth
When I think of an important person in my life, I always think of my grandmother. She has always helped me and my family whenever we need her. When I was little and my mum was working she used to look after me. She’d tell me stories about her childhood and life in the past. Now I realize how much she has effected the way I have changed from the time I was a child to now. Moreover, my grandmother understands me in the way no other person would, and she always finds proper worlds to comfort me. I am able to share different secrets and opinions with her, and I know for sure that she will never let me down. She helps me to get rid of different errors and bad habits. She is alongside with me to support me when I have doubts.
Bob
The most important person in my life is my grandfather. He is the reason I am who I am. He has helped me in every conceivable capacity, from athletics, to fixing something around the house, to understanding what the right thing to do is in any given tough situation. When I was a little boy I remember making lots of models of aeroplanes together at the weekends. For a few years we took up fishing. We had all the equipment and everything and we’d spend ages down by the river. We went to football matches together because we both supported our home team. I don’t see him so often now, but the relationship is still so strong. We are very happy each time when we meet and highly appreciate every minute.
Carol
My best friend is one of the most important person in my life. We’ve known each other since we were five and we’ve always got on really well. Well, apart from that time when we fell out because we both liked the same boy. We both like the same kind of music and going dancing at the weekend, and when we were younger we went out on our bikes together. One of the main characteristics that a person first notices is her unique sense of humor. She creates the impression that she perceives everything as a joke At school we’re good at different things. I’m good at languages and she’s good at maths. That’s good though – it means that we can help each other with our homework. Next year I’m probably going to study abroad and she’s going to take a lap year to do some volunteer job, but I’m sure our relationship won’t change.
Donna
My mom is the strongest woman I have ever met. I look at her and hope that one day, I can be half the woman she is. She is so strong willed, and even when she has a bad day, she still manages to keep a smile on her face as if nothing is wrong. Between working and supporting me, she never gets a break. To be honest, I don’t know how she does it. I always call her superwoman. Her being so optimistic is what makes me smile. When I need someone to lift my spirit, she is always there. I can’t wait to see what my future holds. I hope that I can have an effect on someone’s life as much as she has had on mine.
Ben
I can remember all the details of when we met. His family moved in just a few houses down from us when I was about ten, and I still remember how excited I felt when I found out there was another boy on the street. We were good friends from the beginning because we were into the same things: computers and football, mostly. We both were keen on rock music, went to concerts together and for a while we practiced in the school hall with the local rock band. We even performed on school events and I think we did it well. His family moved away a couple of years ago. We’re still friends on Facebook but we don’t really have much contact.

Jane: Hi Sanjay. I was just thinking of how lovely it is to use social media like Facebook. We can connect with our friends far away.
Sam: Yes Jacob. I agree with you. Thanks to the social media we will not miss our loved ones. We can always stay in touch.
Jane: But, we must also be cautious of what we post or comment on social media. Remember, there is no privacy and the risks associated with content going viral are huge.
Sam: I know. It is also better that we do not put up kids’ photos online on our profile. If strangers happen to see them, then there are chances of danger to the kid.
Jane: However, we can get to know what is happening around the world. We also know about the what the latest trend in the market is.
