All the students were buzzing in Miss Henry's class because it was a new day, full of new things to learn!
"Good morning class!! Is everyone excited for a great day of learning?" Miss Henry asked the crowd.

"YES!" shouted all the children.

"Okay class, so as you know today is the first day of March and that means Women's History Month! So for class today I am going to be telling you about some influential women who have shaped all of our lives. This book in my hands is going to teach us everything we need to know! Everyone hold on tight!!"
Just like that, by opening her book, Miss Henry's class was transported to another world!

"Alright class, now I know we're on a bus, but were not on any regular bus. On December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white man in Montgomery, Alabama. Her courageous act of protest was considered the spark that ignited the Civil Rights movement."

"Wow, that's so cool!" the children exclaimed. "I had no idea that by not giving up her seat, Rosa started a whole revolution!" said one of the children.
"Come on children!" said Miss Henry as she walked off the bus with the book in her hand, "we still have a lot to explore!"
Off the class went to another destination!

"Alright class, so now we are in the Underground Railroad to talk about Harriet Tubman. Harriet Tubman was an American abolitionist and political activist. Born into slavery, Tubman escaped and made 13 missions to rescue approximately 70 enslaved people, including family and friends, using the network of antislavery activists and safe houses known as the Underground Railroad! Alright everyone, one more stop before we have to head back!
