One beautiful summer day, Ellie the elephant walked across the African savannah on her way to the water hole.

"Chirp Chirp Chirp!" greeted the Finch family as they danced in the air. Ellie gave them a friendly wave with her trunk when she arrived at the waterhole.

Suddenly everything went quiet… The cicadas stopped singing, the Finch family flew away. The buffaloes stopped drinking. The giraffes lifted their heads.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
THUD! Ellie fell to the ground.

Between the treeline, Ellie saw two poachers ready to come for her. They attacked her and left her for dead. Leo the Lion saw them and called the cheetahs with a ROAR! They all chased after the poachers.
Ellie was alone. Ellie moaned.
Ellie grounded.
Ellie cried.

HELP! HELP!
The buffalo passed by on the other side and did not stop.
Ellie moaned.
Ellie groaned.
Ellie cried.

HELP! HELP!
Next, the wild dogs walked passed. They did not stop, laughed, and hurried away as quickly as they could.
Ellie doesn't moan.
Ellie doesn't groan.
Ellie doesn't cry.
