Prologue: Dawns Beginning
"Timmy! Bimmy! Dawn! Its time to get up for school!" The children got up of their beds on the third story of the house. The second story was mainly used for storage, they owned a lot of things, their mother loved to collect a bunch of vintage board games and VHS tapes. The first floor contained the living room and kitchen, alongside a little hallway filled with doors, most of them lead to a closet. However, the door at the end was the exit to the house. "I expect you to get good grades on the upcoming math test, Dawn" said their mother. Dawn was the only oddball of the children. Timmy and Bimmy were both boys. Dawn was a girl. Both their names rhymed. Dawns didn't. Timmy and Bimmy were twins, but Dawn wasn't. Dawn also didn't focus on schoolwork, like her older brothers.
One of Dawn's hobbies was watching some VHS tapes from Mother's collection. Most of them were from the 70s and 80s. During "homework time" Dawn used to watch them. The movies were usually an hour and a half. By time the movie was done, homework time was long gone. Mother used to complain about scratches on the VHS tapes. "Dawn, if you don't get a C or above on today's math test, I will personally take away your access to the 2nd floor." said Mother. The panic set in. Dawn didn't even know the unit! When she DID go to school, she didn't pay attention, she was too busy fidgeting. Dawn ran up to look at her math book. The panic set in even more after she read the unit name. "TRIGONOMETRY!?" screamed Dawn. Dawn was very bad with shapes, very bad. Her preschool teachers didn't even talk about shapes at all! It comes back to haunt her now.
Even if she HAD studied, she would've failed the test miserably. If she at least wanted to get a D+, she would have to study the unit a lot. "Hurry, dawn!" said Mother. Dawn grabbed her math book and rushed into the car. When Dawn arrived at school, she tried to put on a straight face, showing any signs of weakness at school, and the teachers would give you lectures about studying. She nervously walked into Art class with a pencil and her math book, hidden behind her back. Maybe I could study in art class, thought Dawn. That thought carried her throughout the whole day. Math class was the last period, the final boss. She studied through reading class, science class, hid and studied in the locker room during gym class. The bell rang during History, the bell, the bellow of a monster. She would have to face it during math class. She nervously gathered up her books and headed to math class. It took dawn the whole class period. Right when the bell rang, Dawn just finished
the last question on the test. She arrived home on the bus and nervously walked in. She was too scared to look at her grade just yet. "So, how was your day?" said Mother. Dawn was shaking and pulled out the test. Moms eyes lit up with happiness as soon as she saw it. "Good work, Dawn! I knew you could you do it!" said Mother. Dawn started smiling but then that quickly turned into a frown. "I knew you could protect my VHS tapes, This F is not acceptable" said Mother. "No 2nd floor for you, Dawn".
Chapter 1: Tomorrows Dawn
"That's we know about her, sir" said the Police. "Luckily, her autobiography that was published yesterday gave us all the information we know". The police were investigating of robberies online. Where tons of VHS tapes were being stolen off of websites. Somehow, a user named "Dawn123" keeps winning every single auction for VHS tapes. The user has been winning so much that the authorities become suspicious. "I would like the suspect captured and interrogated" said the Chief. 12 years earlier, Dawn had lost access to the 2nd floor of her house because of some bad grades. She was not happy at all. She published an autobiography discussing her feelings about losing a floor of a house, she wasn't able to go there for 12 years.
Her autobiography talks about "reclaiming my stolen property" and even lists the name of the auction site where the VHS tapes were stolen from. The username makes it pretty obvious too. This was a pretty clear and cut for the police. The final step was detaining and interrogating her. "We've successfully completed another VHS theft" said Hookshot, "Meet me at the old warehouse to come pick up the box". Hookshot was one of Dawn's henchmen, who preferred brawn over brain. "The warehouse is on the right, next to my estate" said Kane. Kane was Dawn's henchmen who preferred brain over brawn. "You've got some company, Dawn!" said Watcher. Watcher didn't use brain or brawn to settle situations. Instead, his keen eyesight can spot anything from a mile away, literally. He can also shoot lasers out of his eyes like a supervillain.
There were three cars behind Dawn. Dawn had been in these situations before, Kane had placed some gadgets on Dawn's car, like jet boosters, exhaust smoke, and can make the car randomly explode at any time (only if things go HORRIBLY wrong). Dawn decided to go easy on the pursuers by using the exhaust smoke to produce more smoke than usual to come out of the exhaust pipe. "Hey, I can't see anything!" said one of the pursuers, "IM LOSING THEM, OVER"! There were still two cars and Dawn decided to lose them the hard way. Dawn drove off the cliff and then parachuted out of her car subtly and then pressed the explode switch on her parachute when the car hit the bottom. "There's no way she survived THAT situation" said one of the pursuers. "Lets just tell the chief we got em". Dawn had landed in a ranch. "Hey, dawn! This is actually the warehouse!" said Kane. "Wait, the warehouse was at the bottom of a cliff?"
"I know, not the ideal rendezvous point, but we can sneak the VHS tapes into your cargo, just get in the warehouse and find the VHS tape box" said Kane. "Just a quick question, who builds a warehouse at the bottom of a cliff near a ranch?" asked Dawn. "I have no idea, some billionaire dude who programs video games, this is one of their backup stations, the HQ isn't big enough to fit all the programmers" said Kane. "What type of video game?" asked Dawn. "Apparently, now, you wont believe me, but the rumors say this is an ancient video game meant to simulate life itself with fantasy elements" answered Kane, "Just get in the warehouse, I'll explain everything later". Dawn entered the dark and dusty warehouse, it was filled with computers with tons of data. "So, this is an abandoned warehouse" Dawn deduced. But this warehouse wasn't as abandoned as Dawn thought.
Chapter 2: The end of darkness
Dawn overheard some warehouse workers talking about an incident. "Remember a couple years ago when you went on an absolute rampage throughout the game?" asked a warehouse worker. "Oh yeah, I remember that, it was just a little error, literally" said Kevin. Kevin was an employee at Life: The Game that gone rogue and caused an era of destruction. He couldn't be banned from the game, he was literally an error in the code. However, after a showdown, he uses his error powers for good nowadays and battles against some of the toughest hacker gangs. "We've been working on a sequel to Life: The Game for hundreds of years, the launch cannot go wrong" said Kevin. Dawn was shocked, this game was almost paranormal in some ways.
How could this game be in development for hundreds of years? What was this error situation? Am I going to be involved in one of the biggest events in the world? The launch of Life: The Game 2. Awaited for hundreds of years. Suddenly, Dawn remembered what he was here for when he saw a box near one of the computers. Dawn slowly crept toward the box of VHS tapes, but suddenly, he hit his elbow on one of the data back-up computers for the Life: The Game servers and the alarm was activated. Dawn was only focused on one thing now: Get out of here. "First, we fail to catch a criminal and now there is criminal activity at a storage back-up warehouse? Give us a break!" said the chief. The warehouse was surrounded by cars. Meanwhile, Dawn was getting chased by Life: The Game employees. All of the computers were aligned against the wall, one for each employee. All the computers had self-destruct switches
Just in-case data on the computers were comprised and stolen by rival companies, the computers could be destroyed. Dawn quickly pressed the button and the computer exploded. "DUCK!" screamed Kevin. All the employees and Dawn ducked. Dawn ran out of the warehouse through a giant hole in the wall due to the explosion carrying the box of VHS tapes. She grabbed it during the explosion. However, when Dawn left the warehouse, she was circled by police cars. "Look what we found, the expert car escapist, responsible for VHS robberies off of auction websites, destruction of property, and trespassing, possibly even police evasion." said the Chief. "Your going down to the detention center, we are going to question you there" said one of the officers". On one hand, Dawn was not happy about getting detained and questioned. But on the other, maybe she could ask the police some questions about the incident involving Kevin and Life: The Game.
They threw Dawn into the police car and drove down the highway to the Detention Center. They sat Dawn down in a chair in a small room. There were 3 officers in the room and an interrogation officer. "So Dawn, who built those fancy gadgets on that car of yours" asked the interrogator. "They came with the model" answered Dawn. "Really? What is the car model?" replied the interrogator. "The Kane V90" replied Dawn. "Officer Chip, can you research this car model?" commanded the interrogator. One of the officers left the small room and went onto a computer. Now there were only 2 officers guarding the room. "So, who is your accomplice? I heard one of them has great eyesight and even laser eyes, is this true?" asked the interrogator. "Yes, it is" responded Dawn. "Are you sure its not an intimidation tactic?" asked the interrogator curiously, "Officer Mal, please into this matter"
Another officer left the interrogation room to look into the matter. "Wait, before you ask anymore questions, were you the team responsible for looking into the Error incident with the Life: The Game video game?" asked Dawn. "Yes, we were, that incident took place years ago, when a man filled with greed entered the Life: The Game office to make profits and abused his role, we heard the situation got resolved, so there is no need to worry about it" replied the interrogator. "Oh, of course not, that situations not what you need to worry about" replied Dawn. Suddenly, before the interrogator could react, Dawn flipped over the table onto the interrogator. The interrogator fell off his chair and the table crashed onto the floor, breaking a glass vase on it. The remaining officer in the room tried to taze Dawn, but Dawn blocked in with the table and pushed the table against him. Slowly, the officer backed against the wall.
Dawn suddenly pushed the table against the officer, pushing the table against him. The officer tried to climb over the table but stumbled and fell onto the interrogator. Dawn ran out of the room and stole one of the emergency helicopters. Meanwhile, the two officers came back into the interrogation room. "Dawn has been lying to you-" said Officer Chip, "Oh, this is not good at all". "You could say that again" said the interrogator weakly, still on the floor after he was pushed off his chair. "
Chapter 3: The red sun in the darkness
Kevin Bond was getting frustrated. Kevin Bond hired a bunch of goons to defend the warehouse from intruders. Kevin Bond heard about the Dawn's escape. "Looks like I need to save the world again" said Kevin. His goons kept slipping on fruit they left on the ground. "Listen, this is never going to work" exclaimed Kevin. Meanwhile, Dawn was hiding out in Antarctica with a computer she stole from a warehouse from the Life: The Game HQ. "Hmm, I wonder what the password would be" said Dawn. Luckily, she had a password cracker for the computer and hacked into the Life: The Game servers and started modifying the code of the game, she decided to take over Life: The Game, the most successful video game soon-to-be franchise. She would interrupt the launch of Life: The Game 2 by transferring her user data into Life: The Game 2, she would automatically become the owner.
The code she used would be an error and undetectable in Life: The Game 2's coding, because it was transferred after it launched. She could cause all the mayhem she wanted on Life: The Game 2 and nobody could stop her because she didn't exist, but could still interfere with the world of Life: The Game. There are 2 main servers in Life: The Game. The main server and Do War. These were the first servers you had access to when you loaded up the game. Do War is an intense war server, currently ruled by a dictator known as Lance. The main server is owned by the owner, your main goal on this world is survival. You can still battle other players though. Dark Error got a genius idea to transfer her user data between these servers, so it couldn't be tracked to a single user. Her user data would get transferred from server to server, but little did she know, this had a consequence that came with it...
While Dawn was doing her hacking, Kevin and his goons loaded up Life: The Game, the main server in his giant tower. Suddenly, a dark cloaked figure appeared beside him. "Hello, Error" said the mysterious figure. "Who are you?" asked Kevin. The mysterious figure was Dawn's corrupted user data. She existed on the server, but she also didn't exist on the server. But she realized she needed to make up a nickname so she couldn't get tracked. "Dark Error" said Dark Error. "I'm you, but more powerful". "That's impossible! If your an error too, our powers are even!" exclaimed Error. "My code is different from yours, I truly don't exist in this world" said Dark Error, "I know all about your past, another dark era in Life: The Game is about to rise". "I'll be there waiting to stop it, then" said Error. "Good luck, you know, Error, your past isn't squeaky clean either, in fact, I don't think you even know your alliance"
said Dark Error. "My day is already bad enough, I've lost track of a criminal who invaded a Life: The Game warehouse earlier today and now THIS?!" yelled Error. "Well, todays not really your day is it, your going to get a game over to add to the list of bad things" said Dark Error. Like any video game, Life: The Game has HP aka Health Points. If you lost all of them, you had to start back from scratch with nothing but not before encountering a game over screen. Suddenly, Dark Error started whipping her cloak around and teleporting all over the place. Whenever Dark Error teleported close enough, Error was whipped and kicked. Error escaped with only a single health point. He thought Dark Error was chasing after him, but she just disappeared with no trace. "I was hoping to stop a VHS thief today, but now I'm saving a video game from the forces of evil again" said Kevin.
Chapter 4: The blind tool
Kevin ran into the marketplace, where you could buy food with gold. Food can re-heal your health points. Suddenly, a giant man sat next to Kevin. Dawn's goon, Hookshots avatar was a big and strong man. "Whats your alliance in the battle?" asked Hookshot. "What battle?" asked Kevin. Suddenly, Watcher sat next to Hookshot. "I hate to admit it, but I cant see very well, im more of a brute than an eye trainer, so Watcher is my third eye" said Hookshot. "But, what is this battle?" asked Kevin again. "You haven't heard about Dark Error?" asked Hookshot, "Dark Error is threatening to become the new dictator of Do War". "Who is the current dictator?" asked Kevin. "Some guy named Lance" said Hookshot,
