It was around the time the railroad just started to be built, and the government decided to give out land for free, and I mean who wouldn't want that? hundreds of acres for free... I could only imagine it with my wife my son, Bob, and I.
I already had a somewhat of an idea of what the land was going to be like. after all many people have already started to come back from the lands already, which I can't get my head around... I mean who would leave all the land??! FREE LAND!!
it was a rough journey and a hot one if I tell you. you'd think it would've been a fast journey. Nope it sure was not in a hot wagon already running low on supplies, I mean I could take more supplies with me. which I guess is kinda helpful.
A few months later I finally got there, my land looked amazing! my, my, was there a lot of work to do, and the lack of trees. Other than that I think we are going to have to strick it rich with all of these acres to use for m farm land.
I started off with building my house, even though it may not look pretty so far it is still home in my eyes... even though it may be made out of dirt and plants.
once I finished the house I went right to work on the farm and planting. the faster I got this part done the faster I can make money!
Today I was out working the field when I saw a big storm that practically came outta no where. Then all of the a sudden a big tornado came hurtling its way towards me and my wife's house. everything was fine once that tornado died down, yet my crops that I once had were nearly all gone!
after the big storm hit there has hardly been any rain whatsoever.... I've been hoping for rain everyday but it doesn't. It does sometimes but very little rain, which is bad because my crops are slowly dying with the lack of water.
