This is the story of John Stith Pemberton, a pharmaceutical chemist and graduate of the Botanical College of Medicine of Georgia, who developed a thriving business selling patented products and medicinal spirits.

From a young age, John had only one dream, it was the search for the perfect drug; he wanted to create an essential drug and a perfect beverage in one product.

John wondered how he was going to achieve this dream, so he decided to travel around the world and on a trip to New York, Dr. Pemberton acquired a large assortment and knowledge of European and American medicinal substances.

 With these ingredients Pemberton carried out several experiments that he later patented, some of them are: the expectorant syrup Globe Flower and the extract of Stillingia, which cured skin affections.
