Climate change story
“Grandpa, why are you looking so concerned?”, the little boy asked.
“Well, my son, I am looking at the fields. It hasn’t rained for a long time and it’s still four months until harvest. My crops are dying because of the severe draught. I am afraid there won’t be enough food for the coming years if this climate change continues.”, the grandpa said.
“Why does this happen, grandpa? Why is draught so bad?, the boy wanted to know.
“Well, my son, drought affects our lives in many different ways because water is such an important part of so many of our activities. We need water to live, and animals and plants do too. We need water to grow the food we eat. We also use water for many different things in our lives, like washing dishes, cooking, bathing. Water is also used to help make the electricity we use to run the lights in our houses. When we don’t have enough water for these activities because of a drought, many people and many different things will be affected in many different ways.”, explained the old man.
“I see, so not only crops but also all the animals and people are suffering from water scarcity.”, the boy said sadly.
“Right, drought's impacts can be both direct, such as affecting crops and reducing water supply and quality, and indirect such as knock-on effects on business production affecting the flow of goods and services.”
“I am confused! Could you explain it to me?”, the boy demanded.

He was very curious about the answer to the question.
Come and look at our barren field together, said his grandpa.
They went to the field and looked. The little boy was very upset when he saw the field dry.
And then his grandpa explained:

My dear son, as you see, the field is dry. Because it hasn't rained for a long time. Unfortunately, the climate change 'll affect children. Because they need some vitamins and minerals to be healty while they are growing.
But, if there is no rain, we can't grow any vegetables and fruits for children.
And then the little boy asked to grandpa.

The little boy's friend explained his idea:
We see that climate change is harmful to nature, humans and animals. And we live in this situation.
To prevent this, we should prepare a project with our classmates in our school to draw attention to the efficient use of water and other energy resources.
We must apply together.
