Marry Fields childhood 

Mary was born 1836 in Hickman county, Tennessee. She was born into slavery and no one knew the the exact day of birth. Her mothers name was susannah and her fathers name was Buck.

Mary did not go to school for a bit she learned from the the mother of the slaves daughter Dolly . Then soon she went  to a school

Mary Fields Adulthood 

Mary was freed from slavery in 1865. She decided to open a restaurant but it did not work because she would give free food. In 1895 she got a job of a mail carrier.she was a star route carrier to hard to reach places.
