Just kidding! Enjoy this book!

Once upon a time, there was a little packet that was created in a family of hundreds of little info packets. Their family were the royal messengers: they traveled all over the kingdom to different IP addresses (the numerical location of each device), delivering pieces of information and data to the various servers. They were led by the queen Router, and were cared for. They got the pieces of info from the Queen, and were told where to go.
"To prevent accidents from interfering with the delivery system," the Router said, one day, when the little packet asked.

They lived in the kingdom of Star, a beautiful town of lush valleys and green-green gardens. But their most notable feature was the fact that the servers, or citizens were all connected to the queen -- they relied on her and her messengers to communicate with each other.
One day, the little packet and its siblings went to the palace, ready to work. But when they entered, the place was a mess! Cups and platters of gleaming, golden material were strewn on the floor.
On the floor, the Queen lay. Her crystal blue eyes weren't to be seen, as they were replaced with an "Error!" message.

What happened?

Error!
The Packets went ballistic: how would they know how to get to their deliveries? How would they do it successfully?
"Let's just continue on with protocol, okay?" One packet said. "She wouldn't want us completely stopping the way this kingdom runs, right?" Others nodded in agreement, and eventually the crowd was a sea of verbal understanding. What would be the worst that could happen?
A lot could go wrong apparently. Everything had gone well --the Packets were making good progress, keeping the kingdom of Star in touch. The kingdom was lured into a sense of security. Too bad they were too good to last.
Suddenly, a crash could be heard from across the town. Two Packets had tried to reach the same IP at the same time and had thrown all the info into the air. If one weren't aware of how bad it was in reality, you could say that the cascading particles of 0's, 1's, and code falling down was quite mesmerizing.
A drowning silence swept the town. Every single command being carried out instantly went still. This silence was a stark contrast to the deafening chaos that ensued the next second. Crashes could be heard all across town, a cacophony of failures that even the nodes, who relied on the packet deliveries started to panic and flail. They were completely cut off from the center of communication, unable to access information.

The Little Packet, who had just finished a command to Ms. Chester's server had been suddenly swept in the noise. What had happened to "everything will be fine"? 'This certainly doesn't look fine', he said to himself.
'But', he realized, 'we were fools to think we could go on with protocol, the way things are run here rely too heavily on the Hub for us to truly run things well. We need her -- and I will be the one to bring her back!'
With all the determination the little guy could muster, he traveled to the edge of his town network. The edge was, suddenly, more daunting than he thought. A large bridge connected the edge to the Outside, mighty and big. He had never seen such grand structures -- all of the software in his village was tiny and manageable.
The Coaxial Cable, he knew it was called, was covered in thick material and prevented interference from other outside forces. He was safe and sound in this little kingdom, he realized with a sad resignation.

LP
And so, the packet jumped into the Coax, and slid down. In the momentum , he took one last look to his LAN town, the closely connected servers still throwing smoke into the blue of the sky. He would miss them all dearly, the quaint town and how they covered the small space everyday in their duties. But the scene suddenly disappeared, and pitch black enveloped his vision.

WAHH!
Down, down, down the packet went. It seemed endless, the Coax floating towards the WAN, the vast and big network that connected all of the little towns together. He had only heard tales of the WAN, its grandeur and modern, technical beauty only words off of the nodes who had traveled through its confines.
Finally, the Coaxial Cable's coverage had ended, and the packet fell off at a NIC. The card seemingly connected his town to the network. Without warning, hundreds of thousands of bigger packets swarmed all around him, and had gone even faster into a sort of box that he could not name, but the sign above titled it "AT&T". He looked up, and was flabbergasted at what he saw.
Hundreds of those boxes littered the sky, some connected to the towns to bridges and some floating their workers to the port. 'Wireless networks,' he recalled from Mrs. Chester's stories of the WAN. She had regaled how some towns did not use cables to travel around, but used radio signals to transport their information. He was astounded to realize it was real -- Mrs. Chester was always very dramatic.
He was so caught up in the WAN's pomp that he missed the sign that said "Network not working? Visit www.windows.com/error for more information". It was only brought to his attention when another packet had run into him, forcing his vision up to a big board titled "Solutions to Crashes".
