Once upon a time there was a city called Cell City.

The city had a gate around it called the membrane. The gate's job was to let certain things in and out of the city and to protect it. In a cell it keeps viruses and bad things out of the cell and keeps the good things in.

This is the power plant of Cell City. it provides power for the whole city to function. In a cell its called a mitochondria, it provides energy to the cell.

The City has a mix of grass, dirt and rocks as its cytoplasm. It makes sure that all the buildings are in place. In a cell, its a sticky, jelly like substance that keeps the organelles in place.

In the city there is Nucleus City Hall. This is the control center of the city just like a nucleus in a cell. The mayor, Mr. Nucleolus works there. He tries to build other Cell Cities around the world. He uses chromatin ( DNA ), to make sure the other cities are just like Cell City.

There is a group of people called centrioles. They prepare the city if anything bad were to happen. In a cell they prepare it for cell division.
