The cell membrane is what controls the entrance and exits of nutrients that the cell may or may not need.
The cell membrane is like the door of the cell. It controls what enters and exits the cell as a door does this for a building.

The nucleus is what controls the actions of everything that goes on inside the cell.

The nucleus is like a principal in the way that it tells everything what to do, kind of like a principals tells students what to do.

The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell in that it creates the energy the cell needs to thrive.
The mitochondria is like a battery in the sense that it provides the energy to the cell like a battery provides energy.

- The Golgi body is a complex of vesicles and folded membrane within the cytoplasm of most eukaryotic cells, involved in secretion and intracellular transport.

The golgi body is like a taxi cab in the way that it transports things throughout the cell like a taxi transports people.

The Endoplasmic Reticulum is like the golgi body in shape but is a series of closed sacs that are the packaging system of the cell.

The endoplasmic Reticulum is like UPS in that it packages for the cell as UPS packages mail and things people send.
