The legislative branch is in charge of making laws.
The branch is made up of the House of Representatives and the
Senate. There are a total of 31 Senators in the Texas State
Legislature.The leader of the Senate is the lieutenant governor
and the house has 150 representatives."The speaker of house is
elected to be leader by the other house members"(Cane 16).
The lieutenant government and the speaker go to the committee
to study problems, solve the problems, and write laws to prevent
bad things from happening and to keep people safe.

The judicial branch is made up of courts and judges.
The civil and criminal cases are the two type of cases that the
judicial system deals with.
The first case they deal with is the civil case. Civil cases often deal
with things like,property, family legal matters, and money.
Criminal cases are held to decide if a person has broken the law.
If the court finds that the person breaks the law then they have to
decide how they are going to punish the person.
The executive branch job is to carry out laws
and put laws in affect. The branch has the
President,Governor, Lieutenant Governor,
Agencies, Attorney General, Comptroller of
Public Accounts, Commissioner of Agriculture,
Commissioner of the General Land Office, and
Secretary of State. He helps decide how funds
are used. He also helps by signing bills into the
law or saying no to them. "The governor also
appoints officials to state boards and is in
charge of the Texas military"(American
History).
