HİSTORY
The inhabiants of greece were often called Pelasgi or sea people fled south under the influence of the invaders. They settled on the southern coasts and the Aegean İslands. Around 3200 BC ,the newcomers together formed an Indo_European language that gradually become Greek.

Aegean civilizations are the general names of civilizations around the Aegean Sea in Greece. There are 3 regions in contact with each other, the Cyclades Create and the Greek mainland.

It is the region where the states and civilizations established by the societies living in today's Greece and Anotolia ruled between 756 BC and 146 BC
EARLY MODERN AGE
It is the period between the end of the Middle Ages and the Modern Era and the indüstrial revolution in European history.It covers the period of approximately 3 centuries from the second half of the 15th century to the second half of the 18th century.
MODERN GREECE
It is the period from the independence of the Ottoman Empire by the Great Powers after the 1828 Greek War of Independence to the present day.

PATRAS
It is the third largest city in Greece after Athens and Thessaloniki.It is located in the southwest of Greece.Can be reached by a 3 to 4 hour train ride.
PİRAEUS
It is a port city in the Attica geographical region in Greece. Piraeus is located by the sea. It is the largest passenger port in Europe.

LARİSSA
It is the fourth largest city in Greece. Larissa is known as a complete coffee city. Because it is said that there are 1674 cafes .The horses of this region are famous.

KALAMARİA
It is the ninth largest municipality in the whole of Greece.Its population which was 87,000 in 1991,has reached 95,000 today and still increasing.It has become the main center of Pantic culture.

PREVEZA
The city on the lonion coast is the largest city in the Epirus region. It is the place where the famous preveza naval triumph took place.It has a commercial and busy harbor. Quaint shops,pleasant garden cafes and traditional taverns can be seen here.


CHİOS
Chios is an island located in the Aegean Sea of Greece. It is located opposite The Çeşme in the Aegean Sea. Chios, is the 5th largest Greek İsland. It is famous for gum derived from these trees. Chios takes its name from the mastic trees that grow here. Tourism has an important place.

THESSALONİKİ
It is the second largest city in Greece.It is an important economic ,industrial and commercial center.It is also the cultural capital of Greece.In Thessaloniki,ıt is still possible to see the traces of the Ottoman Empire because Thessaloniki has been an ottoman city for 500 years.It is known as one of the major trade centers.The importance of Thessaloniki for the Turks comes from Atatürk.Thessaloniki is the city where Atatürk was born and where his home was.Atatürk's house in Thessaloniki is used as a museum and opens its doors to visitors.




ATHENS
It is the largest city with a population of approximately 4 million people. It is the 4th most populous capital in the European Union. Athens was also the center of ancient Greek civilization. It surrounded by hills and only its western part is open. Being a cosmopoliton and modern city, Athens was also an important trade and cultural center in ancient times. Its name comes from its protector, the goddess of war, Athens.It hosted the 1896 and 2004 Summer Olympics ,and is one of the oldest cities in the world with over 3400 years of recorded history.
In the history of civilizations ,especially in the fields of ancient philosophy and art, the breakthroughs made in the city of Athens are of great importance. Athens is the political ,cultural and financial capital of Greece.
The two Unesco world heritage sites in Athens are the Acropolis of Athens and the Dafni Monastary.
ATHENS ACROPOLY:It is an old fortress ,located on a high cliff that dominates Athens and contains many ancient buildings of great architectural and historical significance.
DAFNİ MONASTERY:It is an 11th century Byzantine monastery located 11 kilometers from the center of Athens.

1-NATİONAL ARCHAELOGİCAL MUSEUM
It is the museum where the findings obtained as a result of various archaeological researches in and around Greece in the Late Antiquity are exhibited.It has been recognized as one of the largest museums in the world.The National Archaeological Museum has the richest collection of Greek antiquities world wide.Known for its magnificent sculptures,the museum is also the museum is also the first national archeology museum in the country.

2-METEORA
It is an excellent temple built of natural sandstone rock in the northwest region of the Thessaly and The Mountains Plain near the Piney River in Greece.

3- TEMPLE OF HEPHAESTUS
Roman architect Ichtinas, one of the world's greatest architects designed it.The columns surrounding the temple are very striking.

4-SAMARİA PASSAGE
It is a magnificent area an Crete Island that has been declared a national park since 1962.The passage is 18 km long and takes its name from the nearby village of Samaria. Home to wonderful plant species, colorful flowers and many species,the region is one of Greece's tourist destinations.Samaria Passage is a very suitable travel area for nature enthusiasts.

5-THE WHİTE TOWER
It is an iconic structure built in Thessaloniki, Greece during the years of the Ottoman Empire Currently serving as a museum, the tower is one of the city's most touristic structures.It i located by the sea and was built for defense purposes. The White Tower ,which is accepted as the symbol of Thessaloniki, is important as one of the historical places of Greece.


6-AQUAWORLD AQUARİUM
It is one of three aquariums in the country and is world famous.The aquarium, founded in 1995, is also a natural history museum.Designed by Scottish John C.M Kellar the aquarium is home to hundreds of reptiles,fish,birds,and other creauters.

7-KNOSSOS PALACE
It is one of the most famous palaces in Greece. Knossos palace is a palace built during The Crete civilization. It is a very old palace.

8-OLYMPOS ZEUS TEMPLE
The temple of Olympos Zeus is located in the Greek city of Athens.As the name suggests, it was dedicated to Zeus.It is the largest temple in ancient Greek mythology.The Temple is around 108 meters and has a witht of 48 square meters and is surrounded by 108 columns.

9-ATATÜRK HOUSE MUSEUM
Turkey's founder Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is the house where he was born in 1881. His house in Thessaloniki is used as a museum today. In 1937 ,Thessaloniki Municipality gave the house to Mustafa Kemal Pasha. The house was opened as a museum in 1953.
It was registered as a ''modern monument''by the Greek Ministry of Culture in 2011.


10-KNİGHTS STREET
The most famous and most visited place in Old Rhodes is Knights Street. They are places where Knights gather and stay. From the coats of arms and flags on the buildings, we can understand which inn hosted which country's knights. Today, it serves as a museum.

11-ARİSTOTLE SQUARE
It is the city center and famous square of the city of Thessaloniki.It is referred to by the people as the heart of the city.There are cafes,restaurants and Neoclassical buildings along the square.The square reflects the modern face of today's city rather than reflecting a historical period.

12-BUTTERFLY VALLEY OF RHODES
This place is a true wonder of nature, there are many butterflies flying freely around, lush trees ,streams and paths. Region is almost a natural habitat fot butterflies. The part of the valley that is as famous as the butterflies is its natural beauty. Many green trees and streams flow around.
