Once upon a time under the biggest oak tree there lived a happy hedgehog family. 

A mother hedgehog loved all her children equally: her daughters Ege and Streg and sons Ogg, Hog and little Raus, who was the smallest of them all. And not only that, he was the only one without spikes on his back!

Sometimes at night he cried: Why I am so different? I'm fluffy, small and soft. I want to be just like my brothers and sisters!

But brothers and sisters loved him just the way he was and always told him: Raus, you're so soft that we just want to cuddle with you. And all the winter nights Ege, Strege, Ogg and Hog tried to snuggle with Raus. But Raus couldn't sleep because the spikes of others pricked him all night. He wished he had spikes and could curl up into a ball and sleep well.

''I don't want to be a burden anymore!''

One summer morning when others were still asleep Raus snuck out of their home and went in the forest. While walking he whistled a song not knowing that the fox was waking up in the nearest bush and was veeeery hungry.
