Once upon a time, there was a Whale named Wally.
Wally was a very peaceful and chill whale.
Wally lived in the pacific ocean with his other fellow aquatic friends.
Wally's favorite food was krill and he also snacked on other small fish!
Wally loved to explore and socialize with the other animals.
Wally was at peace with his life and was truly living the whale dream.
But one day, Wally went up to the surface for a breath of fresh air when he noticed that the water looked a little different.
Wally dove back into the water thinking nothing of it when one of friends told him that his skin looked kinda weird.
Wally then did observe that his skin was itchy and was beginning to irritate him but he ignored it.
Wally the next day noticed that his skin was really bothering him and he could hardly breathe. He had to keep going up to the funny-looking surface of the ocean for breaths of air.
Wally then asked his friends if they were experiencing the same thing and they said yes.
Wally and his friends decided to ask the Elderly Whales what was going on and they told them there was something called an oil spillage.
The elderly whales told the young whales that oil spillage is where oil is accidentally released into a body of water, therefor harming the environment.
The elderly whales explained that their skin was burning so bad because when oil gets onto to their skin it causes irritation. They could hardly breathe because when the go to get breaths of hair they are inhaling the toxic oil.
