The problem question: How do jet engines work?
Students explored the book and prepared materials.

The student inflated the balloon.

The students attached the balloon to the straw.

Student G. released the balloon and the students observe that the air escapes in one direction, through the wide hole of the balloon, forcing the balloon to go in the opposite direction!

That's how jet planes and rockets work!

How to orient yourself on the way from home to school

SOME CLASS DISCUSSIONS:

What do you mean for ORIENTATION?

A: It is when I know where I have to go

G: I know where I am

S: On the right on the left

V: It is the right way

B: orientation is when I go to grandmother

S: Where the street is

We had fun discovering the cardinal points and the compass

Now we know what is ORIENTATION, but if we are in places where there are no reference points what can we do?

S: I watch the stars

V: I use the compass

A: I ask to mom

During the day the kids watch the sun...

...and in the night how can we guide us?

Children, do you remember what a Compass is?

S: I look at the sky and I see the stars

S: Those who get lost on the street use it

A: It is an instrument that moves
