Jim and Jack are old friends from university, they live in different cities 1500 km away so they don't see each other as much as they would like, but today at Madrid airport by surprise this happens...

Ooohh my God Jim! I can’t believe it!! What a long time! How are you doing? Are you coming from vacation or because of your work?

Hi Jack! Nice to see you. I'm here for a work meeting but I just got back from holidays in Murcia, I was in Cabo de Palos, located in the Mar Menor.

Wow! La Manga del Mar Menor…it sounds super nice! I come from “Chanchencho”...Have you ever been there? Look at this photo! What about you?

I don't know Sanxenxo but it is known that the Spanish high bourgeoisie frequents that maritime area. In Cabo de Palos there are almost tropical beaches, the sunrise is a spectacle of colors and you can snorkel and see many fish.

For how long have you been there? What is the most you liked from there?

We have been there for 10 days, the gastronomy and the beaches were the best, clean, without crowds. And how is Sanxenxo? Tell me please.

This is an amazing place in the south coast of Galicia…with the best food, wine and beaches that you could never imagine. I’ve learnt a lot about fisherman’s culture… how “mariscadoras” go to the sea and fish different seafood like clams or about the “percebeiros” who take the barnacle from the rocks in a very brave sea (this is very impressive!).

Barnacles are an exquisite delicacy and they are not cheap, but I understand the difficulty of their extraction. What do you like the most about the trip?

I really want to tell you that…On Monday I met the Emeritus King Juan Carlos I, having lunch in a super fancy restaurant in the village. He was waiting while the service was cleaning his yacht and came directly to me, because my scarf left, and gently he gave me it back with reverence.

Really Jack? I can not believe it!
I could say that it would be a “normal” trip, but…I was full of emotions as you can see…
What exciting days Jack! I hope to see you next summer in Murcia, although we do not have the presence of the royal family if you can meet the world champion Carlitos Alcaraz in a restaurant or on Galúa beach.
