There once was a girl named Sabrina. She
was a shy girl who always had her nose buried
in a book. Sabrina was the new girl at school
and only had a few friends.
One bright Wednesday, in science class,
Dylan Hunter was assigned as her lab partner.
Dylan Hunter: The most popular guy in the
twelfth grade. The most handsome guy in the
twelfth grade. It was every girl's dream to
have Dylan Hunter as their boyfriend.
So when Dylan was assigned as Sabrina's
lab partner, she felt like the luckiest girl in the
world.

Dylan, on the other hand, was not pleased
with his lab partner. He did not want to talk to
this nerdy girl, let alone sit next to her. If he
were seen talking to Sabrina outside of class, it
would ruin his reputation. Imagine: lonely girl
talking to the "It boy".
Oh well. Dylan was going to have to deal
with it. He was failing science and desperately
needed to bring his grades up before the end
of the grading period, which was next week.
Sabrina only had to be his partner until the
end of the grading period.

The next day, Sabrina excitedly waited for
Dylan to arrive to science class so she could
chat with him. Just as the bell rang, Dylan
walked in and slumped into the seat next to
Sabrina. As Ms. Carr, the science teacher,
explained the lab assignment, Sabrina studied
Dylan's face.
Oh, Dylan was so dreamy! His wavy black
hair hung slightly over his eyes and looked so
soft and shiny. He had perfect deep blue eyes,
a nice jawline and neat eyebrows. Everything
about him was perfect!

As Ms. Carr wrapped up her instructions,
Sabrina fantasized what the next week would
be like with Dylan. Dylan and Sabrina would be
working on their science experiment and then
their hands would accidentally touch. They
would look up, their eyes would meet, Dylan
would lean in and-
"Hey. So let's get started on our lab." The
sound of Dylan's mellifluous voice made
Sabrina's head spin and knees buckle.
"O-okay. Let's g-get started," Sabrina
stuttered.

When the bell rang for class to end,
Sabrina stormed out. She was furious! Dylan
had spent the whole class texting his friends
from other classes. He offered Sabrina $20 to
do the whole project for him and Sabrina
politely told him she'd do it for free. If he had
helped, they would have been almost done,
she thought to herself.
After school, Sabrina thought of a plan to
get Dylan to help her with the project. Not only
would he help her, she might even have the
chance to hang out with him outside of school!

The next day in science class, Sabrina put
her plan until action.
"Ummm. I don't think I'll finish in time, she
said to Dylan. "If I don't finish, the highest
score we'd get would be a D. Maybe you
should help so we can finish."
Sabrina smiled as Dylan said, "Oh yeah!
Sure! I'll help you! What do I need to do?"
And just as Sabrina expected, they did not
finish by the end of class. The project was due
on Monday. Dylan wanted to get a good grade
so he asked Sabrina to finish the project at
home.
