Hi there!!! My name is Angel. Do you know what a typical appropriate day looks like during infancy? 

If not that is ok, this book will give us a chance to take a look at what a typically appropriate day for infancy does looks like!

The first couple of months during infancy are extremely important because babies learn to reach out, explore, focus their vision, and learn about everything around them. So a typical day for all age groups under infancy involves playing, eating, and sleeping to help build their abilities to think, problem-solve, and explore.  

Let's take a look at a typical day for a couple of different age groups during infancy!!!

Cognitive and Language Development milestones as well as a typical appropriate day for infancy aged:

                                2 month-olds

                                4 month-olds

                                6 month-olds

Cognitive and Language development milestones are areas babies should be achieving or displaying at their current age!

2 Month Olds:

To meet cognitive and language development milestones 2-month-olds should be able to look at faces, watch and follow as a person moves, look at toys for several seconds, make sounds other than crying, and react to loud noises. 

An Appropriate Typical Day!

So, an appropriate day could consist of the 2-month-old taking naps, eating, listening to stories, making different sounds, watching faces and moving objects, and reacting to sounds. 

4 Month Olds:

To meet cognitive and language development milestones 4-month-olds should be able to hold their head steady without help or support, open their mouth when hungry, make ‘ooh’ and ‘aah’ sounds, or make any sound when spoken to and react to loud noises and sounds. 

An Appropriate Typical Day!

An appropriate day could consist of the 4-month-old consist of them eating, sleeping, them learning how to control their head and neck, and making and reacting to different sounds.
