sun's rays and

Solar Energy

Pros:

-It will never run out

-It is abundant

-It is sustainable

-It doesn't cause pollution

-It is available all over the world

-It reduces electricity bills

-It can be used for many different 

purposes

-It is silent

-Rebates are available for it

Cons:

-It may be considered expensive

-Access to sunlight is limited at 

certain times

-Manufacturing process releases 

greenhouse gases

-It is made from rare materials

-It requires lots of space

This alternative energy source could effectively replace fossil fuels. The 

sun will never go away unlike fossil fuels, which can eventually run out. 

Even though the manufacturing process releases greenhouse gases, it is 

nothing compared to how much pollution you are preventing. There are 

many more pros to solar energy than cons.

They use the power of the 

wind to generate 

electricity

Pros:

-It doesn't cause pollution

-It can be done almost anywhere

-It will never run out

-It doesn't take up much space

-Its prices are decreasing

-Its operational costs are low

-It is simple for home owners to use

Cons:

-Wind is unpredictable

-It can be expensive

-It can threaten wildlife

-It causes noise

-Some people don't like how it 

looks

Wind energy wouldn't replace fossil fuels as easily as solar power. 

While it could potentially replace fossil fuels, it is more convenient 

to use solar power in today's time. Wind turbines are more expensive 

and not as discrete as a solar panel.

Biofuels eliminate

Pros:

-It is renewable

-They can be made domestically 

by farmers

-They don't emit pollution

-They don't contribute to global 

warming

-They are easy for companies to 

transition to

Cons:

-There are already a lot of cars 

that only run on gas

-Not enough land to grow the 

fuel

-Producing biofuels takes more 

energy than its use

Biofuels can not replace traditional energy sources. Even though 

it is eco-friendly and it is renewable, it takes more energy to 

produce than to actually use it so there is no way it could 

completely replace fossil fuels
