Hey kid!

A talking wind turbine! Wow that's so cool!

What else can you do?

My name is Tubby the Turbine. I harness wind power to create electricity. The energy I make is eco-friendly, space efficient and low cost.

Wind energy has created thousands of jobs. You would need 41,000 lbs of coal to make the same energy I make in a lifetime. And I don't emit harmful gasses!

The wind vane tells me which way to turn my blades and when the wind comes, the generator picks up the motion.

The generator rotates a rotor that has oppositely charged magnets and is surrounded by copper wire loops.

Electromagnetic induction is created by rotor spinning around inside of me, and electicity is created.

That electricity is then sent to the power plants where it is distributed into your home!

Wow! That's so cool! Why doesn't everyone switch to wind energy?

Because my loud noises and my aesthetic bothers people. Also, sometimes wild life like birds or bats run into my blades.

Do you have a diagram I can have to show all my friends?

Yes!

Thanks Tubby the Turbine! You're so cool. But how did you learn all of this?

I'm not a huge fan of the internet, but you can learn cool stuff there. Check out these sites I learned everything from.
