Me and my brother Eric were in the helicopter that was taking us to the tundra. We are explorers that are going to explore an ice cave. They are most commonly found in lava tubes or limestone caves. Ring….Ring…Ring. I picked up the phone to see who was calling.
I said,”Hello, who is there?”
The weather man said,” Hello Henry, there is a big snowstorm coming your way so be careful.”
I put the phone down and I thought it would not be a big deal. I was getting cold because I left the window open so I could spit my gum out. It felt like my face was going to fall off. I shut the window and was going to take a little nap and dream about the cold and icy tundra but my brother woke me up and wanted to talk about what we're doing. Eric started talking but when he talks it feels like forever because he never stops talking. I finally got him to stop talking so I could get that nap.

I woke up to a loud sound that I heard on the roof of the helicopter. I went to the cockpit to ask the pilot what was going on. He said,”Ice is forming on the blades and it is really dangerous.”
I was very scared because I just remembered that the news man was right about the snow storm that was coming to us. I yelled to Eric that we might crash and the snow storm was picking up. The pilot could not see, it was very cold, and worst of all we might crash because of the snow storm. I wish I could go back home and be a couch potato. I was getting really cold and I saw a bit of ice on the metal door. It was getting loud because of all the snow and ice was hitting the helicopter like a baseball bat. All I could really do was just to sit down and hope nothing bad happened.

Bang….the helicopter was falling to the ground. I was falling through the air thinking I would 100% die in this crash. I woke up on a bloodly snow banking. My knee was bleeding very badly but I put a stop to it with the first aid kit that was near me. All I saw was a debri all over a long flat cold field. There was fire everywhere and I was very scared. I went looking for my brother and the pilot. A few minutes later I found the pilot under a piece of the medal door. I helped him out and we went looking for my brother. We could not find him but I was more worried about night time because of polar bears and wolves and worst of all, the weather. It can get to -40°C. We found a back up tent and stayed the night. I was worried but I got a lot of blankets to keep me warm. I closed my eyes and wondered if my brother was ok.
The pilot asked”When are we going to look for your brother.”
I told him in the morning but we need some rest.
There is a snow storm outside so we should be happy that we have a tent.
