I am Mr. Cell

 Hello everyone, I am Mr. Cell and today I am going to take you through the steps of Mitosis and Meiosis. 

                       Prophase

Mitosis is a process where a single cell divides into two daughter cells and is known to have 5 steps. 

The first step is prophase. In prophase my nuclear envelope breaks down and the chromosomes inside me start to condense. When chromosomes condense they thicken to the point where they can now be seen with your naked eye. 

                 Metaphase 

The next step of Mitosis is Metaphase. During Metaphase all of my chromosomes align in the middle and attach to small tubes called microtubules.

                   Anaphase 

After Metaphase, I go through Anaphase.During Anaphase, the center of each chromosome splits in two and sister chromatids separate. Once the chromosomes separate they are pulled to opposite sides of the cell.
