One day in the ocean, there was a little water molecule...

Hi everyone, I'm a water molecule. I live in the ocean. I am among many molecules of water that make up the ocean.

My other water molecule friends told me about this cool ride we are going to go on and I can't wait!

However, I have one question. Where is this ride and when is it?
And Then...

Wait, what's going on and why am I moving upwards?!

Ahhh!

Stop screaming!

Oh hey, it's the Sun! What are you doing here?
How's it hangin' lil water molecule? I'm just turning you guys into gas.

I'm confused. Could you explain?

Sure thing! You see, the heat I emit causes you, water molecules, to rise from the water and become a gas. This is known as evaporation. You turn into something known as water vapor. In fact, you all are turning into water vapor as we speak!

Whoa! I didn't notice!
Pretty cool, huh?

You can say that again!
Stay safe little guys!

We will. Thank you!

This is fun.
Yes.
Next, the vapor turns into a cloud...

Guys, why are we a cloud?
Stop crying. This is what's known as condensation. We were water vapor at first, then we came together and combined into this big cloud.

Oh, I see. We are all a part of this big cloud. How cool!
Later on that day...

This seems scary.

Why did it get so gray all of a sudden?
