Need help locating land and water features?

Forests are home to a large proportion of
the world’s biodiversity. They play a major
role in regulating climate, they contain huge
quantities of carbon, they stabilize soils and
help prevent erosion, and have a major
influence on the water cycle.

Many animals inhabit the beach! These animals
include fish, sharks, crabs, and turtles. But don't
forget that the foliage underneath the water is also
a living thing and lives at the beach!
What makes a beach, well, a beach?!
A beach is a landform along the coast of an ocean,
sea, lake, or river. It usually consists of loose
particles, which are often composed of rock, such
as sand, gravel, shingle, pebbles, or cobblestones.

Planes can see the top of volcanoes because they are so
high up! A volcano is a hole in the Earth which allows
hot lava, volcanic ash, and gases to escape from a
magma chamber below the surface.

They come from Rivers! Those are natural bodies of
water that flow towards an ocean, a lake, a sea, or
another river. Small rivers may be called by several
other names, including stream, creek, or brook.

The region surrounding the North Pole consists
of a large ocean surrounded by land. The arctic
is covered in snow all year long!

A desert is an area of land where
little weather occurs. About one
third of the land surface of the
world is arid, which means dry.
Unfortunately not many animals or
plants can grow here because it is
so dry, and hot!
