However, in the region there was an important superstition; it was the evil eye, because people were very distrustful and didn't allow any stranger to approach them because it could transmit negative energies or even contaminate their souls with negative entities, causing them discomfort, ruin, bad luck, and even death if the affected person had a weak spirit.
It was April 7th and a strange looking man was hanging around the school where the children studied. Lauren a beautiful girl was on her way to the bathroom when she look up the man, she tried to ask him if he needed anything, but remembered that her parents had forbidden her to talk with strangers, because this could be dangerous and the people could take advantage of her innocence and harm her.
At that moment the man asked Lauren if she had anything to give him to eat, Lauren told him that at the moment she had nothing to offer him, but she could look for something for him at the school restaurant. When she come back the strange man walk out there, instead she found a note "TAKE CARE OF YOUR HAPPINESS, LEST SOMEONE TAKE IT AWAY FROM YOU".

Lauren and Carlos returned home, Luisa asked how school had gone, Carlos replied that everything was fine. On the other hand, Lauren told him what had happened and showed him the note that the man had left her. Luisa was worried and quickly ran to find her husband and told him about the situation.
At that moment, Lauren began to feel sick and fainted from the shock of seeing her parents' concern. Salvador and Luisa decided to take her to the church so that the priest could check her and remove the evil eye that the man had possibly placed on her. The priest said a prayer and immersed Lauren's hands in holy water as part of the cleansing and purification ritual to ward off all kinds of bad energy, Lauren immediately reacted, but was a little confused.
