Have you ever wondered what's up there in the sky? Or maybe, even farther than the sky. Well, this book is going to tell you some of the most amazing things God created up there.

This book is about all of the planets in our solar system. There are eight planets in our solar system.
MERCURY
Mercury is the first and smallest planet in our solar system. Since it is the closest planet to the sun, its daytime temperature can get extremely high! But at night, its temperature can get to -180 degrees Celsius! This is because Mercury has no atmosphere to hold in the heat the sun shines onto it. Mercury also is a lonely planet. It has no moons. Mercury also has lots of craters, like earth's moon. Mercury is so close to the sun that a year on Mercury is about 88 earth days.
VENUS
Venus is the second planet in our solar system and is about the same size as his neighboring planet Earth. It is the most brightest planet in the Milky Way and can be seen in the sky at night. It looks like a very bright star. Another fact about Venus is that a day on Venus is about 243 Earth days! One thing that would surprise anyone, is that Venus is actually hotter than Mercury! This is because the atmosphere is very thick and made of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide!
EARTH
Earth. The only planet in which living things can live. It has every thing that any thing could need. Earth was made by God especially for us. It has a perfect atmosphere that is mostly made of nitrogen but has the perfect amount of oxygen to breath. Also, water covers 70% percent of Earth's surface. Earth is the only planet to grow plants for the food we eat. Our planet is just far enough away from the sun. God made our planet perfect for humans, animals, and plants. We have everything we need to live.
MARS
Mars is the fourth planet from the sun and the next neighboring planet to Earth. It is made of iron oxide dust which gives it its red appearance. Believe it or not, planet Mars is actually quite cold. It has a very thin atmosphere too. Mars is also the second smallest planet after Mercury. Mars has two moons named Phobos and Deimos. Mars has thousands of craters because Mars has a stable crust, low erosion rate, and no active lava. Mars also claims the highest mountain in the solar system named Olympus Mons.
JUPITER
Jupiter is the fifth planet in our solar system and the largest of all the planets. It is more than twice the size of all the planets combined! It is also slightly under one-thousandth the mass of the sun. Jupiter has a red spot which is actually a storm the size of Earth that has been raging for more than 150 years! Jupiter is quite far from the sun so its temperature can get down to -110 degrees Celsius! Talk about a cold gas giant!
