Tunisia, nestled on the northern coast of Africa, boasts a rich tapestry of cultural heritage that reflects its diverse history and geographical position as a crossroads of civilizations. From its ancient roots in Carthaginian and Roman times to its Islamic heritage and contemporary influences, Tunisia's cultural landscape is a testament to its resilience and adaptability.
One of Tunisia's most renowned historical legacies is Carthage, an ancient city-state founded by the Phoenicians in the 9th century BCE. Carthage flourished as a major Mediterranean power and later became a crucial Roman province.
