                 A cow named Ruby                   

   Ruby was a lovely cow and she liked lovely 

things and nice tall green grass. She had 

always wanted a house of her own and one day 

as she was walking around the pasture she saw 

one. It looked like it would be a nice one for 

her. So she went over to it and looked in the 

window. It looked pretty nice and no one was 

living in it. She thought it would be perfect and 

the door was open so she went inside. It would 

be fine for her. 

There was a little kitchen and Ruby worked and 

worked until she got it fixed up. The kitchen 

was the most important part because she had 

to eat. 

She fixed up the bedroom and put a picture of 

her great grandma mamie cow. She thought it 

looked pretty nice. Then she decided to do the 

living room. 

Then she looked around and she saw 

something scary back in the corner of her 

room. Was it a ghost?   Well there is no such 

thing as a ghost she said to her self. I am just 

imagening this. I am going to go and fix up the 

living room in case some of my friends want to 

come and see me. She headed for the living 

room.   It was a nice big room.  

Ruby was happy with her living room and now 

she thought she could have some friends over. 

And then she saw something up in the corner 

again.   It frightened her. She decided to get our 

of there and find her friends and see if they saw 

anything in the room. She saw Rudy the bull 

out there and asked him to come and see if 

there was a ghost in there.
