Hi, I am Nucleus the Dictator and I run a Eukaryotic government. I know my name is an organelle inside of a cell, so i'll try to help you understand what i do so kids in a science class can understand it.

My recycling truck is like a lysosome. It recycles, patrols, and cleans up the city.

These two fellers are my guards.They are like my nuclear membrane Tim, the one on the left, is like my inner membrane, and Joe, on the right is like my outer membrane. They allow only certain people to enter the building through doors. The doors are like nuclear pores.

Inside my building is like the nucleoplasm and outside in the world is like the cytoplasm.

Inside this box are the plans for the city and how it should look. They are like chromosomes. Without the plans, the city would not get bigger or expand. Now i'll tell you what i do...

I give the signal to the builders to build skyscrapers and any thing that we need. Just like a nucleus gives the signal to grow, divide, or make proteins.

I hire workers to make power plants which give the world energy. Kind of like how a nucleus produces Ribosomes and Ribosomes manufacture protein for the cell.
