Long ago, there was a goddess of rain named Yanagi. She was very beautiful, kind, and humble. She cared for every living thing in the world. She lived in a forest called Lamyth.
One day, she traveled to a different land because her father had signed a contract giving her hand in marriage to the Sun God, Genos.
Yanagi was disappointed in her father for not telling her or giving her a choice, but since she didn't want any fighting, she went on a journey to the Sun kingdom.

Once she arrived, everyone had stopped and stared at her in awe. She paid no mind to it and made her way to the castle.
Guards were waiting at the gate of the castle and asked, "Who are you?"
"I am the one that shall be marrying your king, for I am Yanagi! The youngest of three children and my father, King Hakimura God of Oceans, has signed a marriage contract with the king himself." Yanagi said.
The guards let her go inside and guided her through the castle to meet with the Sun King, her future husband.

The King of the Sun kingdom was pacing back and forth of the waiting room, waiting to be called to come to Yanagi. Sure, you'd think a king was high and mighty, but he was nervous. He really wanted to have Yanagi like him, but some towns people would describe him as scary.
As Yanagi was walking through the halls with the guidance of two guards and heard some whispers go throughout the hallways.
"Is she going to be the new queen?"
"Wah! She's so pretty!"
"I hope she doesn't scared of the king."
"Poor soul...the king will scare her..."

Rumors like this were pretty often among the maids, guards, and butlers around the castle. So far, only one person truly understood the king. Despite having a cold and stern appearance, he actually cared and wanted to be loved just like anyone else would do.
He just had a hard time at expressing his feelings sometimes. Yanagi was led into the garden and looked around waiting for the king. She wanted to see for herself if they say the king really is as scary as the rumors were.
The king walks and dismisses the guard before he goes and sees the Princess for the first time in person. He then sees her and is captivated at her beauty.

The King had fallen in love almost immediately. The Princess had lifted her head and took in the kings features. The both of them introduced each other and the king showed Yanagi around the castle.
The king didn't know how to show his feelings and ended up sounding strict or hateful. The Princess, however, she paid no heed and only smiled the whole time, actually liking him.
Their marriage was in the following week, so in the mean time, they attended to paper work and occasionally eat and chat in the garden.

A few days pass and Genos, the Sun god, heard that his brother, Takahiro, will be coming to visit. Genos shows his brother his fiance, but Takahiro doesn't like her and thinks she will only be a nuisance.
Genos and Yanagi try to get Takahiro's approval, but Takahiro forbade her from talking or interacting with his little brother. In order to prove herself, she had to make it rain on the day of their wedding.
In the Sun Kingdom, it has never rained at all. They would always rely on irrigation systems and aqueducts to transport water throughout the whole Kingdom. Yanagi new this would be a bit challenging but her undying love for Genos was not going to back down.
