Aa is for Angola

Angola is located in Southern Africa. As not many may know, Angola's official language is Portuguese. One of Africa's most beautiful natural wonders, the Ruacana Falls, is found here.

Fun Fact! Angola's most common music style, Semba, influenced several other types of music, including the samba from Brazil!

Botswana is also located in Southern Africa. It is slightly larger than France and slightly smaller than Texas. Botswana is a haven for endangered species of mammals and birds.

Bb is for Botswana

Fun Fact! Botswana is home to the world's biggest concentration of African Elephants.

Cc is for Cameroon

Cameroon is located in Central Africa. It is in a tropical region with the land consisting of flat plains, mountains, and coastal plains. Cameroonian culture is

greatly influenced by music

and dance. Makossa and

bikutsi are two from mainly

depicted in the culture

Fun Fact! Cameroon is famous for producing coffee, cocoa, cotton, bananas and oilseeds.

Dd is for Djibouti

Djibouti is found on the Horn of Africa. It is on the far, upper right and is made of dry shrub-lands, volcanic formations and Red Sea beaches. The intense hear here causes water

in lakes to evaporate,

leaving behind salt and

other minerals.

Fun Fact! Djibouti is just a little smaller than the state of Massachusetts.

Equatorial Guinea is located in Central Africa. The tropical forest of the mainland is home to gorillas, chimpanzees and elephants. It is also home to many tribes.

Ee is for Equatorial Guinea

Fun Fact! Equatorial Guinea is the only independent country in Africa with Spanish as an official language.

Ff is for Fada

Fada is a city in Chad, which is located in Northern Central Africa. Fada is a mid-sized place with a population of about 23,786 people. Fada is one of the largest places in Chad.

Fun Fact! Fada is known for its surrounding cave paintings and rock formations.

Gambia is the smallest West African country. They are well known for their fishing and play a big role in selling peanuts, since they are one of the few things that grow in this country.

Gg is for Gambia

Fun fact! The national football team of Gambia is nicknamed The Scorpions.

Hh is for Hartbeespoort Dam

Hartbeespoort Dam is located in the North West Province of South Africa. The dam was originally

designed for irrigation, which

means supplying dry land

with water.

Fun fact! The name of the dam means "pass of the hartebeest" in Afrikaans, which is a species of antelope.

Ii is for Ivory Coast

The Ivory Coast is located in West Africa. There are great differences in the geography of the Ivory Coast. Some areas are mostly coastal beaches and forests while other areas are flat and dry.

Fun Fact! The Ivory Coast produces more chocolate than any other place in the world!

Jj is for Jeffreys Bay

Jeffreys Bay is located in South Africa and is named after the first person that is believed to have settled there. This location is one of the places where tourists usually want to go.

Fun Fact! Jeffreys Bay is one of the five most famous surfing destinations.

Kk is for Kenya

Kenya is located in East Africa, on the equator. In 2012, the population of Kenya was estimated to be around 43 million. Kenya has

many national parks and

wildlife reserves, with safaris

being a popular activity for

visitors.

Fun Fact! Large animals such as lions, buffalo, leopards, elephants and rhinoceros are present in Kenya.

Ll is for Liberia

Liberia is located in West Africa. In outer regions it is filled with mangroves and swamps on the flat coast. Moving inland, the land is covered with tropical rain forests, flat plains and low mountains

in the northeast that

contain forests.

Fun Fact! Liberia is the only country in Africa with native Africans that is founded by the people of the United States.

Mm is for Mauritius

Mauritius is a small island located in the Indian Ocean, east of Africa. The Mauritian people form a multiethnic society, which means they are mainly of

mixed races and have

ancestors of Asian, Indian,

French, British and Chinese

origins.

Fun Fact! The island was created by volcanic activity more than 8 million years ago.

Nn is for Nigeria

Nigeria is located in West Africa. The climate averages around 90 degrees in much of the nation. Nigeria is either rainy or dry. Nigeria is Africa's most

populous country,

containing about 1\5 of the

Africa's people. It is very

diverse, with more than 250

ethnic groups.

Fun Fact! The highest point in Nigeria is the mountain Chappal Waddi at 7,936 ft

Oo is for Oujda

Oujda is one of the top five biggest cities found in Morocco, which is found in Northwestern Africa. Oujda is one of the

most relaxing locations for

travellers. It's culture has a mix

of Arabic and European

influence.

Fun Fact! Oujda is popular for the music in the city. They are usually entertaining musical shows that are put up regularly.

Pp is for Praia

Praia is the capital city of Cape Verde which is located off the coast of West Africa on Santiago, which is the country's largest island. Around 500,000 people live in Cape Verde.

Fun Fact! Cape Verde is an archipelago, which is a group of islands.

Qq is for Queenstown

Queenstown is located in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. Queenstown is known for its beautiful gardens. Also, it is popular for those that love the outdoors.

There are trails, rivers and

mountains where people

can hike, climb, and

mountain bike.

Fun Fact! Queenstown was named after Queen Victoria.
