Land Management is how humans treat and use the land. Specifically, how we
sustainably use the resources of the land; all the flora and fauna (animals and plants).

4
Land Management Nature: Big Issues
We are the least fertile continent on Earth. We are also the driest continent on Earth. Due to this, it is difficult to use and manage our natural resources.
Effective land management has increased:
- Food quality and quantity
- Production of materialistic goods i.e. clothing
Land management includes the methods we use to take care of land to provide people's needs.
Commonly the land is used for and by:
+ wood chipping and,
+ the building industry

Land Management: Past Nature in Australia
The Aussie environment's appearance has changed over the past 200 years. The Aboriginals moved to different parts of Australia to give the land time to rejuvenate. This meant that the land had time to regrow, and gain health once more. The animals also had time to repopulate.

However, in 1788 the European farming methods wiped out lots of the natural environment. Now, these parts of Australia cannot rejuvenate; and they cannot be used for the benefit of society.

The removal of soil along drainage lines.
3. Erosion:
When something wears away over a period of time, generally physical land features.
4. Weak Water Quality:
The water is not as clean or drinkable as safety standards demand from the water.
5. Lack of biodiversity:
Biodiversity means the variety of plants and animals in the world; so now we are lacking in great numbers of flora and fauna.
