Olivia walked into school one day and saw a big sign on the bulletin board that said tennis tryouts were after school. Her eyes lit up and she got excited because she knew she wanted to try out for the team. She was a little nervous though because she had never played much tennis before.

The entire day as Olivia sat in class she couldn't focus on what the teacher was saying. All she could think about was tennis.

When Olivia got to tennis tryouts she was so embarrassed. She was the worst out of all the people there. She had a feeling that she was not going to make the team.

After tryouts, the coach took all the boys and girls to the side and read aloud the names of the people that had made the team. Olivia's heart beat fast as she anticipated for her name to be called. When it wasn't called, she sat there with the saddest look on her face.

That night when Olivia came back home she was so upset. She cried to her dad how she wanted to be so good at tennis and turned out to be horrible at it. Her dad said "Olivia dont give up. If you really want to be good at tennis you have to keep practicing and have a positive attitude".
