The piney woods is located in East Texas. There are a lot of forests, and flat land. The temperature is hot in the summer, mild in the fall and spring. In the winter it is cold but stand-able.

The Piney Woods Eco-region receives a lot of rain and has a ton of vegetation. Such as pine forests and grasses which holds soil in place. Very little erosion takes place in the Piney Woods. Flooding occurs along riverbanks, which causes sediments to be carried to a different place

Since there is a ton of rain in the Piney Woods there is a ton of weathering. Rain and other types of weather causes things to be worn down and changed into new things. Trees, soil and other things in the Piney

Sediments are carried and dropped along the river or stream route.

High Plains

The high plains are located in the Panhandle of Texas. This Eco-region is semi-dry and very flat. With it being flat wind occurs often. Which occurs most of the dust storms.

Weathering in the High Plains

Most of the weathering is caused by wind. The wind moves the dust and the dust creates a layer over the land.

Erosion in the High Plains

Most weathering is caused by wind. The wind carries the dirt to where it is going. Tornadoes are a big part of erosion. They erode the soil.

Deposition in the High Plains

The wind drops the dirt off at a point where it blow no more. Also the tornadoes dump the soil and debris in a place creating a land form.
