"Ferb, that sounds great. We will build a shrink ray and observe photosynthesis as it happens right in front of our eyes. Your a genius." replied Phineas

"Wow Ferb, just look. We are inside a chloroplast. Right now i am standing on top of the thylakoid and granum. Those weird string things are the stroma. The dark green on the top is the outer membrane, and the lighter green is the inner membrane. This is all powered by our sun too!" exclaimed Phineas

"Hey Ferb, now look. This is where light is absorbed. (On the thylakoid) Inside here are photosystems that use energy to oxidize chlorophyll. It excites electrons, so they can pass through the electron transport chain." Phineas said

"This is the electron transport i was talking about a second ago. It starts when electrons get excited by the sun and start moving down the chain. This takes place in the stroma by the way. They also make a protein gradient. Their final acceptor is NADP." said Phineas

"Now Ferb oxygen is made when the cell splits water. It also uses ATP. This takes place in the thylakoid membrane." explained Phineas

"I didn't see Perry come with us. Look Ferb the ATP synthase! This is at the end of the electron chain. The synthase I mentioned is an enzyme by the way. ADP is used and turned into ATP when the electrons go through the gradient." laughed Phineas
