I was born in Wichita, Kansas on Friday, May 13th, 1994.
It was definitely unlucky for my mother to have gone into labor on Friday the 13th because I gave her hell while coming into the world. I wasn't breathing when I came out, I had the cord wrapped around my neck, and I was a 1 on the apgar test.
Luckily, I pulled through!
I had a fairly normal childhood. When I was 4, we moved from my first house into the home that I would be living in until I was 18. That house was where I met my first friends, went through many boyfriends, got my first job, along many other things. Looking back, that house was where I started my first experience with teaching something. I had a pool and quickly become an expert swimmer. I was the one who taught all the neighbor kids how to swim. I loved the feeling of showing someone how to do something and seeing the excitement when they get it.
I had a great life and summers were my favorite with the pool and all. I absolutely hated when august rolled around and it was time to start school again. I was always the kid that would cry every morning before the bus came because I didn't want to go. I was a good student in elementary school but I was always so nervous and scared for some reason. I was definitely a child full of anxiety.

High school to me was about family, friends, and boys, and nothing more. I was a shy, insecure girl who needed constant attention from boys to feel good about myself, (annoying, I know). I was a C D student simply because I didn't study, and I didn't try. I wasn't involved in any activities, I just wanted to get through high school as fast as I could so I graduated early.
In the spring of 2012, I started classes at butler. My goal at the time was to go into nursing which was a terrible idea because of now squeamish I am. I basically just choose that field because I jumped into college right away and didn't know what I wanted to do, career wise.
After a while of taking prerequisites, I changed my major to physical therapy. I only chose this because a friend of mine talked me into it. Again, I was just taking classes because society makes you think that it's what you're "supposed to do".
In the summer of 2013, I started dating my boyfriend, Ryan. At that time, I was a server at Wasabi and then Outback. Being the ball of anxiety that I am, I hated my jobs because I would get terrified of talking to the customers. Ryan knew I wasn't happy and he knew I loved kids, so he encouraged me to make a profile on care.com, which is where I met my current family that I work for. I started my job as a nanny watching 2 beautiful girls, Deearah who was 4, and Adellah who was 1. I continued taking classes while watching them every day.
After about a year of watching the girls, I realized that what I really wanted to do was something with children. I thought of the idea of running my own daycare, which is kind of what I was already doing, just not licensed. So I changed my major from physical therapy to Early Childhood Development. I finally felt like I was on the right path.
