Ok let's start from the beginning first there was nothing or Chaos from that Gaia arose and then created the sky or Uranus together they had 12 Titans kids six male and six female. Cronus the worst of the Titans like the spoiled little kid. Plus destroyed his father Uranus. Then won control of the Titans with his wife Rhea one of the six female.

Cronus feared that any child that he had with Rhea would overtake him began eating his children the gods. enraged by this Rhea hid one of the kids and gave him rocks in a blanket instead. the kid was Zeus to become the ruler of the gods.

When Zeus was old enough he poisoned Cronus throwing up his kids and the rocks in a blanket and with the help of Poseidon and Hades they defeated Cronus giving rule to the gods and Cronus being thrown into Tartarus.

fearing the same thing a Cronus he tried to stop Athena from being born but failing father like son right; lesson don't eat your kids.
