Semi - Colon's

The definition-  a punctuation mark that is used when two sentences are joined by a coordinating conjunction and one or more commas appear in the first sentence.

Examples of the use of a semi-colon:

- Our goal was to run ten miles; we ran only five.

- Dad is going bald; his hair is getting thinner and thinner.

Colons

The definition- mark of punctuation used after a statement that introduces an explanation, an example, quotation, or a series.

Examples of the use of a colon:

- Haley needs the following items: headsets, bag, and shoes.

- She kept repeating:" I really want that car!"

Parallel Structure

The definition- when you use the same pattern of words to show that two or more words or ideas have the same importance.
