One day, in Village near the
Himalayas, a baby was born bound to
be a prince. His name was Siddhartha
Gautama. He grew up in luxury since
his Dad was a king. Sadly, at young age,
his mother died. So his dear aunt came
and took care of him.

One day, Siddhartha went out in the chariot
into the city. He saw an old man on the side
of the road. He asked his chariot driver,
“What is wrong with that man?” The chariot
driver answered, “That is an old man, your
majesty.” Siddhartha asked the same question
for a sick man and a dead man. Once again,
the chariot driver answered what they were.

Before Siddhartha was 30 he left his great
village and his family to look for answers. His
long and restless journey took him to many
regions through out India. Wherever he went,
he had long discussions with the priests and
people known for their wisdom. Although they
were very wise, they could not provide him
with answers that convinced him. This restless
young man did not give up.

In fact, because he could not find the answers, he was even
more determined to find the truth. Siddhartha wanted to
clear his mind from his daily concerns, so he decided to
start meditating in order to focus his mind on spiritual
ideas. He also began fasting from eating because he
believed that it would liberate his spirit. He meditated the
longest under a tree that is now called the tree of wisdom.
After seven weeks of meditating, he suddenly had answers
to his questions. He realized that through human suffering
comes three lessons. Firstly, is the realization that one
should want what one likes but does not have. Second, is
the ability to want to keep what one likes and already has.
Lastly, it is not wanting what one dislikes but has.
