That's me!!

Hemoglobin is responsible for transporting oxygen in the blood of vertebrates. His city is in danger and he needs to get oxygenated blood to the whole city in order to save it.

Oh no!! I better help!

I'm going to the hair salon to change my appearance.

Hair Salon (aka nucleus)

He has to go to the hair salon to change his DNA to RNA and start the message, in hopes of saving his city.

Transcription turns a section of my DNA hair, a gene, into a message and is now mRNA. The RNA polymerase breaks the hydrogen bonds to read the gene and copies mRNA. This is good because I need to be able to get my important message to the right place and save my city! But there's still something else I need to do!

Home Depot

The Hemoglobin Goblin travels to Home Depot after getting his new hair.

G with C, C with G, A with U.

At Home Depot, the Goblin builds his polypeptide chain using translation. The mRNA binds to ribosomes and then tRNA matches up the codons with anti codons.

Post Office

Hemoglobin then goes to the Post Office to send out his message and oxygenated blood all around the city (body).

Using exocytosis, the post officers (vesicles) transport the polypeptide chain to the whole city (body).
