There was a kid by the name of Shawn, who lived in a small rural area with his family and dog. One day, Shawn has stumbled across a box in the middle of his backyard as he was playing with his dog. In this box he found a bottle of colorful gummy bears. What Shawn didn't know, was that these gummy bears take you back in time. Off he went to the kitchen and ate his first gummy bear.

As Shawn ate his first gummy bear, he had been brought to the 60's. Here Shawn has met the one and only Muhammad Ali. He was a huge heroic symbol in the 60's as he appealed to people that was discriminated against during the civil rights movement. Ali was a man who lived by his own principles and supported black power making him a huge figure in the 60's.

Shawn now takes his last breaths in the air and takes another gummy bear.

Here brought Shawn to a baseball game. Batting at the plate was number 42, Jackie Robinson. Jackie Robinson was a big figure in civil rights, as he was discriminated against, protested against by his own teammates, and even boo-ed at baseball games. Even though many hated Robinson, he composed himself, and proved everyone wrong on the Baseball field, showing that he is way more talented than most others.

Shawn admired Jackie a lot since his favorite sport was baseball. Shawn then shook his hand after the game, and took another gummy bear.

Shawn, being surrounded by many civil rights activists, was surprised by how moved the people were. In the middle of a march, Shawn saw Martin Luther King. A big person of the civil rights movement, he led an organization to the freedom of black people. He made a new way of handling haters in life. He approached the hate with nonviolent remarks and taught blacks how to be stronger through these acts.

Shawn was very moved by the speech that MLK gave. Of he went to another place, eating another gummy.
