Hello! I am Donna Sexton, and this book contains ten facts about me so that you can get to know me better.

I once had a teacher whose accomplishments inspired me to pursue my dreams, so for this introduction, I have chosen to focus on positive facts, experiences, and accomplishments with the hope that some of what I have done in life may inspire others to pursue their own dreams.

The first fact about me is that my name means "lady caretaker." Donna means "lady," and sexton is a term associated with the church. This is someone who takes care of church property and grounds, so a sexton is a caretaker.

The second fact is that my family consists of my husband and me. I have been married for twenty years to Mr. Ben Sexton, who teaches music, art, and drama. We do not have children, but we have two nephews for whom we are godparents. They are much bigger now than in the picture!

The third fact is that I have two cats as pets. (They were only kittens in the pictures.) Their names are Carefee and Choc. They are good hunters, and they are great for playing and cuddling!

The fourth fact about me is that I have worked in schools at all levels from elementary to college. Some of the subjects I have taught are world history, English, psychology, Spanish, and art. I was also a school counselor for several years.

The fifth fact is that I helped with the 1996 Olympics when they came to Atlanta. I escorted dignitaries from other nations to the medal ceremonies for river rafting events.

The sixth fact is that I once won a grant to study for a summer at Cambridge in England. I studied all about Winston Churchill and even got to see and touch some of his personal papers. It is one of the best things I have ever done.
